About - Julien Bobbio

FR ____ D’origine franco-italienne, Julien Bobbio est né et a grandi à Strasbourg (France). Intéressé par le monde des arts visuels, il débuta des études en infographie à 14 ans et poursuivit dans le graphisme, et le design de mode jusqu’à ses 21 ans. Début des années 2010, il s’intéressa à la scénographie et entrepris pendant 1 an une expérience dans la construction de décor sur des plateaux de tournage.

Attiré depuis longtemps par l’étranger, en 2014 il partit apprendre l’anglais en Australie. Il fut marqué par ce voyage et la découverte de nouvelles cultures. Il resta deux ans en Australie, puis séjourna une année en Nouvelle Calédonie et finalement posa ses bagages à Montréal (Québec, Canada) en 2017.

Interpelé par les enjeux de notre société contemporaine, le rapport des personnes entre elles et avec leur environnement, il base sont travail sur trois grande lignes de recherche:

- Identifié les ponts qui relients ou séparent les individus.
- L’impact de notre manière de vivre sur nos relations interhumaines.
- L’influence de l’espace de vie sur le comportement humain.

L’illustration et les arts graphiques restent pour lui ses premières pistes d’exploration mais étant curieux il lui arrive de chercher de nouveaux mediums pour compléter ou développer ses recherches notamment avec les nouvelles technologies, l’internet, l’animation et la 3D. Dans d’autres cas il se confronte à des expériences plus proches de la nature favorisant le contact direct avec l’humain ou l’environnement.

EN ____ Of French-Italian origin, Julien Bobbio was born and grew up in Strasbourg (France). Interested in the world of visual arts, he started studying computer graphics at 14 and continued in graphic design and fashion design until he was 21. In the early 2010s, he became interested in scenography and undertook a one-year experience in set construction on film sets.

Attracted by foreign countries for a long time, in 2014 he left to learn English in Australia. He was marked by this trip and the discovery of new cultures. He stayed two years in Australia, then spent a year in New Caledonia and finally settled in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in 2017.

Challenged by the issues of our contemporary society, the relationship between people and their environment, he bases his work on three main lines of research:

- Identified the bridges that connect or separate individuals.
- The impact of our way of living on our interhuman relationships.
- The influence of living space on human behavior.

Illustration and graphic arts remain his first avenues of exploration but being curious he sometimes looks for new mediums to complete or develop his research, especially with new technologies, the internet, animation and 3D. In other cases he confronts himself with experiences closer to nature favoring direct contact with humans or the environment.
